Candy Bar Pie (Randy Palmer)

Ingredients

  • 1 Pillsbury refrigerated pie crust, softened as directed on box
  • 5 Snickers candy bars (2.7oz ea)
  • 4 pkg (3oz ea)cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 c sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 c sour cream
  • 1/3 c creamy peanut butter
  • 3 T whipping cream
  • 2/3 c milk chocolate chips

Preparation

Step 1

Heat oven to 450. Make pie as directed on box for one crust pie in 9" glass pie pan. Bake 5-7 min or until very lightly browned. Cool 10 minutes. Reduce oven to 325.

Meanwhile, cut candy bars in half lengthwise, cut into 1/4 in pieces. Set aside. In small bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar with mixer on med speed until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in sour cream and peanut butter until smooth.

Arrange candy bar pieces in bottom of partially baked crust. Spoon cream cheese mixture over candy bar pieces.

Bake at 325 for 40 min or until center is set. Cool completely for 2 hours.

In 1 qt saucepan, heat whipping cream over low heat until very warm. Remove from heat and stir in chocolate chips until melted and smooth. Spread over the top of the pie. Refrigerate for 2 hours before serving.
