Ingredients
- 3 onion
- 6 slices pike or pickeral
- 1-1/4 teaspoon Salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 2 cup Water
- 1/2 cup white vinegar
- 2 tablespoon Sugar
- 1-1/2 teaspoon pickling spice
- 2 bay leaf
Preparation
Step 1
Combine onions, fish, salt, pepper, and water in saucepan. Bring to boil
and cook over low heat 25 minutes. Carefully remove fish and place in bowl
or jar. Mix vinegar, sugar, pickling spice, and bay leaves with fish stock.
Bring to boil and pour over fish, straining the onions and spice. Leave in
refrigerator for 2 days before eating.
