Ingredients
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour or 3 T. cornstarch
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups milk
- 3 slightly beaten egg yolks
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 9" baked pastry shell
- 4-5 ounces peanut butter, softened
- Whipped cream topping
Preparation
Step 1
In saucepan, combine sugar, flour or cornstarch and salt.
Gradually cook and stir in milk. Cook and stir over medium heat, until bubbly. Cook and stir 2 minutes. Remove from heat.
Stir small amount of hot mixture into yolks; immediately return to hot mixture. Cook 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Add vanilla.
Place peanut butter in microwave to soften; then gradually stir into mixture Place into cooled pie shell and let cool Add whipped cream topping.
