Pressure Cooker Beef Stroganoff

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp. butter
  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1/2 onion, diced
  • 4 ounces mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 tsp. beef base mixed into 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp. onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp. allspice
  • 1 1/2 cups reduced fat sour cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Egg noodles, cooked separately

Preparation

Step 1

1. Add the butter to the pressure cooker and heat on high, or brown, with the lid off until sizzling. Add the ground beef, breaking it up with spoon or spatula as it browns.

2. Once the ground beef is breaking up well, carefully drain most of the fat from the pot, and then add the onion and the celery. Stir for 2 minutes until onions start to turn translucent.

3. Add the remaining ingredients, expect for sour cream and noodles. Securely lock the lid and set to high and cook for 6 minutes.

4. Let the pressure release naturally for 10 minutes before quick releasing the rest of the pressure.

5. Stir in sour cream, salt and pepper to taste.

6. Serve over egg noodles.
