Barbecued Chicken with Honey Glaze

Ingredients

  • 1 8 oz. can tomato sauce
  • 1/2 c. olive oil
  • 1/4 c. orange juice
  • 1/4 c. vinegar
  • 1-1/2 tsp. dried oregano, crushed
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 6 peppercorns
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 whole chicken breasts, split
  • 4 chicken legs including thighs
  • 1 recipe Honey Mustard Glaze as follows
  • Combine: 1/4 c. honey and 1/2 tsp. dry mustard

Preparation

Step 1

In large screw-top jar, combine all incredients except chicken and glaze. Cover and shake vigorously to blend. In shallow dish, pour tomato sauce mixture over chicken. Cover and marinate 2 hours at room temperature or overnight in refrigerator, turning occasionally. Drain, reserving marinade. Grill chicken over medium coals for 45 to 50 minutes, brushing with marinade and turning frequently. Just before serving, brush with Glaze.
