Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

Ingredients

• 1/2 cup butter
• 1/4 cup brown sugar
• 1/2 cup sugar
• 1 tsp vanilla
• 1 egg
• 3/4 cup flour
• 3/4 cup oats
• 1/2 tsp baking soda
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 8 squares semisweet chocolate, cut into 1/2 inch chunks
• 3/4 cups nuts, optional

Preparation

Step 1

Beat butter, sugars, vanilla and egg til light and fluffy. Add flour, oats, baking soda, and salt. Stir. Stir in chocolate and nuts. Drop 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 mins. Makes 2 dozen.
