KFC Honey BBQ Wings

By

Breaded and fried wings with a sweet barbeque sauce to coat.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (Self-rising is best!)
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • 20 chicken wing segments
  • 2 cups Bullseye BBQ Sauce
  • 1/2 cup honey

Preparation

Step 1

In a shallow dish, combine flour, salt, and pepper. Coat chicken in flour mixture; refrigerate for 1 hour; coat chicken again with remaining flour mixture.

In a small saucepan, heat BBQ sauce and honey until warm; turn heat to low and keep warm.

Deep-fry chicken, 8-10 pieces at a time, in 375 degree oil for 13 minutes. Drain chicken on cooling racks.

Immediately toss fried chicken with BBQ sauce mixture. Repeat with remaining chicken.

These things were a BIG hit with my family. The only way I made them any different from your recipe was I would fry a batch, drain them and then let them soak in the pan of sauce while I was frying another batch of chicken. They taste exactly like KFC

This recipe is awesome! My husband loves these wings and he said that he cannot tell the difference. We let the sauce soak into the wings for about 15 minutes and the flavor was awesome. The recipe is pretty easy to make as well. Thanks a bunch. This is the only website I know that has recipes that taste authentic

Absolutely Magic!!!!

These were excellent. Will definitely be making these again. Thanks

These were really delicious. I put less honey in the BBQ mixture (about 1/3 cup) so the BBQ flavor wouldn't be any less. I liked it a lot this way. Next time I will make honey BBQ strips for the kids as they are easier to eat.

I love this, my husband and kids thought it was great, my husband liked it so much that he called a couple of his friends over to try them. I did change it a little...I have 5 children 5 and under, so I cut up chicken tenders into chunks and cooked them just like the wings. The kids loved the tenders and my husband and I liked the wings.

Love them!! I toss mine in the oven after frying them at 200 degrees for 30 minutes to give them that gooey thickness effect. (Just like sitting under the heat lamp) My son who eats nothing loves these, he likes it when it's wings night.

We don't have these at KFC where I live...Tokyo!! But I have them for friends back in Australia when I visited this year and they were a hit!! I'm making them again tomorrow for a friends party. Tremendous and so easy! Oh yeah, I season the flour a bit with whatever takes my fancy at the time.

Theez muth*f***az was deelisheeoso...burp.

The existing comments are true!! This is so YUMMY!!! My husband's not home for dinner yet- I doubt their be many left then!!! This recipe was so great, I'm checking out your other recipes and I've bookmarked your sight. Keep 'em coming! PS Do you have any suggestions on how to get BBQ off keyboard keys?

These were just fantastic, they tasted just like the real thing!!! Thanks!
