Healthy Chocolate Cake

Ingredients

  • DRY INGREDIENTS
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 4 Tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • WET INGREDIENTS
  • 1/3 cup apple puree, or applesauce
  • 1 Tbsp vinegar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup warm water

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat over to 350 F.

In a large bowl, sift all the dry ingredients together.

In a separate bowl, mix all the wet ingredients together.

Mix the dry and wet together, but do not overmix.

Pour into a 9-inch cake pan or springform pan. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until the cake springs back when pressed.
