CREAM CHEESE SMOOTHIES

Ingredients

  • 2-1/4 cups sifted flour
  • 1 cup soft margarine
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon grated lemon rind
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 (8 oz.) package cream cheese softened
  • 1 egg unbeaten
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans

Preparation

Step 1

Sift flour and baking powder. Mix margarine with cream cheese, granulated sugar. Mix well, add eggs, lemon rind, lemon juice 1 teaspoon and mix well. Mix in flour mixture. Refrigerate 1/2 hour. Preheat oven to 375 degrees, bake on ungreased cold cookie sheet 8-12 minutes. Mix powdered sugar with 2 teaspoons lemon juice. When cookies cool dip one end of the cookie in frosting then in pecans.
