Texas Apple Cake

Ingredients

• 2 eggs, beaten lightly
• 2 cups sugar
• 3/4 cup oil
• 4 cups tart apples, diced
• 1 tsp. vanilla
• 2 cup flour
• 1 tsp. baking powder
• 3/4 tsp. baking soda
• 1 tsp salt
• 1 tsp. cinnamon
• 1 cup chopped nuts
• TOPPING
• Pour this over cake before baking
• 1 cup brown sugar
• 1/2 cup nuts, chopped
• 1 egg
• 1/2 cup sugar
• 1/3 cup sour cream
• 1/2 tsp. salt
• 1/2 cup ground raisins (optional)
• 1 tsp. vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Cake: Mix together first 5 ingredients. Stir together dry ingredients. Add to above mixture. Pour into 9 X 13 cake pan.

Mix together topping and boil for 3 minutes, stirring constantly, then pour over cake and bake.

Bake at 350 degrees for 45 min.
