Wild Mushroom Beef Stew

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 to 2 pounds beef stew meat, cut into cubes
  • 2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire saauce
  • 1 glove garlic
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 tsp. paprika
  • pkg. of fresh mushrooms, sliced (shiitake)
  • 1 bag frozen vegetables
  • 1/3 cup red wine

Preparation

Step 1

1. Place beef in slow cooker. Mix together flour, salt
and pepper; sprinkle over beef. Stir to coat each
piece of beef with flour.

2. Add remaining ingredients and sir to mix well.
Cover; cook on LOW 8-10 hours or on HIGH 4-
6 hours. Stir stew before serving.


Tip:
For 5-,6-, or 7-quart Crock-Pot slow cookers,
double the amount of meat, mushrooms, frozen
vegetables.
