Ingredients
- 2 ( 16 to 17 oz) cans cream-style corn
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 3/4 C yellow cornmeal
- 1 t garlic salt
- 6 T salad oil
- 1 (4 oz) can green chilies, finely cut
- 2 C grated Cheddar cheese
Preparation
Step 1
Mix all ingredients together, except chilies and cheese. Divide mixture in half. Place one-half in a greased 8 x 8 x 2-inch baking dish.
Mix together chilies and cheese. Layer on top of corn mixture in dish. Cover with the remaining corn mixture. Bake in a 350 degree oven for an hour or until a knife inserted in the center of corn mixture comes out clean.
When doubling this recipe, use a 9 x 13 x 2-inch baking dish. Baking time remains the same.
