Ingredients

  • 2 pkgs yeast
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2 tab sugar
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 3/4 cup cooking oil or 1 cup crisco
  • 5 cups flour
  • 2 cups buttermilk

Preparation

Step 1

Dissolve yeast in warm water. Mix all other ingredients.
Pinch off and roll.
Bake 400 10-12 minutes.


Can make dough ahead just store in refrigrator for up to 1 week in air tight container.
