Cream Cheese Squares

Ingredients

  • 2 cans (8 oz each) refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
  • 2 pkg. (8 oz each) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 3/4 cup sugar, divided
  • 2 T. ground cinnamon

Preparation

Step 1

1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
2. Unroll 1 can of crescent dough. Press onto the bottom of a greased 9x13" baking pan to form the crust, firmly pressing seams together to seal.
3. Beat cream cheese, vanilla, egg and 1/2 cup of the sugar with an electric mixer on medium speed until well blended. Spread onto crust.
3. Unroll remaining can of crescent dough onto large sheet of wax paper. Pat out dough to form 9x13" rectangle, pressing seams together to seal. Invert over cream cheese mixture to form top crust; discard wax paper.
4. Bake 30-35 minutes or until golden brown. Combine remaining 1/4 cup sugar and cinnamon in small bowl; sprinkle over squares before eating.
