Cabbage Rolls

Ingredients
- 1 large head cabbage
- 1 tsp. vinegar
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 cup uncooked rice
- 2 stalks celery, diced
- 1 T. margarine
- 1 # hamburger
- 1/4 # sausage
- 1 egg
- 1 can tomato soup
- 1 Tab. parsley flakes
- 1 Tab. minced onion
- pepper
- 1 can tomato paste
- 4 slices bacon

Step 1
Cut core out of cabbage. Put in water (with vinegar added) to boil, removing leaves as they loosen. Drain well. Cook rice and drain. Saute celery in butter. Put beef/sausage in large
bowl and add rice, celery, egg, half the soup and parsley, pepper and onion. Mix well and put big spoonful in center of each cabbage leaf. Fold and secure in baking dish.
Add remaining soup, 1 1/2 cans water and tomato paste. Pour over cabbage rolls and top with bacon. Cover with foil and bake 400 degrees for 1 hr. Remove foil and bake for
1/2 hr. at 350 degrees.
This will probably run over in oven so put jelly roll pan underbeath cabbage rolls.
