Broccoli Salad

Ingredients
- DRESSING:
- 1/2 C buttermilk
- 1/2 C mayonnaise
- 1/2 C sour cream
- 1 t garlic, minced
- 2 T fresh parsley, chopped
- 2 T fresh dill, chopped
- 2 T fresh chives, chopped
- 1/4 t onion powder
- 1/4 t salt
- 1/8 t ground black pepper
- 2 T apple cider vinegar
- 1 t sugar
- SALAD:
- 3 broccoli heads & stems
- 1 C carrots, grated
- 1/2 C red onion, chopped
- 1/4 C dried cranberries
- 1/4 C toasted pine nuts
- 1/4 C dry roasted sunflower seeds
- 3/4 C sharp cheddar cheese, grated
- 4 thick cut bacon or 8 regular sliced chopped into small pieces

Preparation
Step 1
1. Combine all ingredients for dressing in bowl.
2. For salad, remove broccoli heads from stems & cut into tiny florets. Add florets to dressing bowl.
3. Peel outer outer skin from stems & roughly chop stems. Add to bowl with florets.
4. Add rest of ingredients to bowl & toss until completely coated with dressing.
5. Place salad in airtight container. Place in refrigerator for 12 - 24 hours. Toss once or twice.
6. Serve chilled.
