Aloo Palak

Ingredients

  • 3 bunches of palak (spinach)
  • 2 big aloo (potatoes)
  • 1 big onion chopped
  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 2 green chillies chopped
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsb ginger chopped
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1/4 turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp of red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp of garam masala powder
  • Salt to taste

Preparation

Step 1

1. Wash, clean palak & simmer in boiling water for 3-5 mins.

2. Cool & just blend it in mixer into a coarse paste.

4. Pressure cook potatoes for 3 whistles, peel & dice them.

5. Heat butter in a pan, add cumin seeds, onions & sauté till they turn
translucent.

6. Add ginger-garlic paste, green chillies & saute for 1-2 mins.

7. Add salt, turmeric, red chilli powder, patatoes & saute for few minutes.

8. Add the palak puree & boil for two minutes.

9. Add garam masala powder, mix well, garnish with chopped ginger & serve
hot.
