Ingredients

  • 6 large apples
  • juice of half a lemon
  • 1.2 cup of white sugar ( and a little more for dusting)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 3 tblsp of flour
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 2 tblsp butter
  • 2 sheets of puff pastry fresh dough
  • 1 egg

Preparation

Step 1

Turn the oven to 350 degrees
Peel apples and cut into thin pieces (like potatoe omlette)
Place apples in bowl with the juice of half a lemon
Mix in a small blow the flour, sugar and spices
Place mixture over apples and stir so taht all the pieces are soaked int eh mixture
Coat the molds with butter
Choose two round dough cutters. large for the base and one for the top
Spread the puff pastry and cut the larger circles
place the the dough in the molds and fit to bottom and sides of mold.
fill the mold with filling and a dash of butter
cut an place dough circles on top of molds and seal. Cut hole in top for steam. cover lightly with baking paper. put in oven for 25 min. remove paper and leave and 10 to 15 min. cool for 5-10 min
