Cherry Winks

Ingredients

• beat in:
• Shift together 2 1/2 cups flower 1/2tsp. soda
• 1/2 tsp. salt
• Combine and cream well
• 3/4 cup shortening
• 1 cup sugar
• 2 eggs 2tsp. milk 1tsp. vanilla
• beat well
• Gradually blend in dry ingredients:
• Add
• 1 cup pecans
• 1 cup dates (cut finely)
• 1 cup maraschino cherries (chopped)

Preparation

Step 1

Drop from spoon into crushed corn flakes crumbs. Roll into balls. Space balls on cookie sheet. Bake in moderate oven 375 degrees for 10-12 min.
