Cheddar Bacon Dip

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 lb crumbled cooked bacon
  • Chopped green onion for topping

Preparation

Step 1

In a saucepan, heat 1 cup sour cream over medium-low until warm, about 5 minutes, stirring frequently.
Add 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese and continue stirring until melted, about 3 minutes.
Stir in 1/3 cup maple syrup and 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper.
Add 1 lb crumbled cooked bacon, reserving 1 Tbsp for topping.
Spoon into a serving bowl and top with reserved bacon and chopped green onion.
Serve warm with crackers.
Makes about 2 1/2 cups.
