Ingredients
- 1 package Duncan Hine's Moist Deluxe Pineapple Supreme Cake Mix
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine
- 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 (20-ounce) can pineapple slices, drained
- 1 small jar red maraschino cherries, drained & halved
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Melt butter in ungreased 13x9-inch pan. Sprinkle brown sugar evenly in pan. Arrange pineapple slices on brown sugar. Place maraschino cherry halves, cut side up, in the center of each pineapple slice.
Prepare cake mix following package directions for the Basic Recipe. Pour the batter evenly over fruit in the pan.
Bake at 350 degrees F. for 43 to 48 minutes or until toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Cool for 5 minutes in the pan. Invert onto a heat-resistant serving plate.
