Ingredients

  • 1 round sourdough bread
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 package cream cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups sour cream
  • 1 cup diced cut ham
  • 1/2 cup green onion, chopped
  • 1 can chopped green chilies
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350.

Cut the top off of the sourdough bowl and set aside. Using a knife, cut around the inside bread and then hollow out the inside of the bowl. Cut the bread from inside of the bowl into cubes. Set aside.

In a small bowl, mix the cheddar, cream cheese, sour cream, ham, onions, and Worcestershire sauce until well blended. Place the mixture inside the hollowed out sourdough bowl. Replace the bread top.

Wrap the bread in aluminum foil. Place on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 60 minutes.

Place the reserved bread in a bowl with the oil and butter. Toss to coat the bread. During the last 10-15 minutes of baking the sourdough bowl, place all of the bread on a baking sheet and heat through, turning occasionally.

Serve the bread cubes along with the cream cheese dip. It’s also good with tortilla chips or potato chips.
