Italian chicken broccoli alfredo

Ingredients

  • 8 oz pasta (linguine or angle hair)
  • 1 C frozen or fresh broccoli
  • 2 T butter
  • 1 # skinless boneless chicken breasts
  • or
  • 1 pkg of precooked Tyson chicken strips
  • or
  • left over chicken diced
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 C milk
  • 1/2 C parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 C sour cream
  • 1/4 t black pepper
  • 2 T minced garlic
  • 1/2 C fresh mushrooms sliced or 1 small can mushrooms

Preparation

Step 1

cook pasta to package directions adding the broccoli to the pasta for the last 4 minutes of cooking. drain pasta and broccoli.

If using uncooked chicken: melt butter in skillet and brown chicken cut into strips until well browned. If using packaged chicken strips. Melt butter in skillet and add precooked chicken until heated through.

Add all other ingredients into the skillet and heat until mixture is hot and bubbly. serve with a little extra parmesan topping if desired.
