- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 4 bananas, peeled, halved lengthwise
- 1/4 cup dark rum
- 1 pint good-quality vanilla ice cream

Directions:
Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the brown sugar and cinnamon. Stir until the sugar dissolves. Place the bananas cut side down in the skillet.
When the bananas begin to brown, carefully add the rum. Use a long match to light the skillet contents on fire. Cook, shaking the pan occasionally, until the flames subside. Remove from heat.
Scoop ice cream into bowls. Top with bananas and sauce. Serve immediately.
