Broccoli salad is easy to make and is a perfect salad for entertaining - either at home or to take to a potluck party. Make ahead of time and refrigerate for at least two hours before serving so the flavors can meld.

Ingredients

  • SALAD:
  • 1 broccoli head, cut in small pieces
  • 1/2 pound bacon, cooked and cubed
  • 1/2 red onion, chopped
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • DRESSING:
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup sugar

Step 1

Mix all salad ingredients together in a medium mix bowl.

For the dressing, mix mayonnaise, cider vinegar and sugar together.

Pour over salad.

Refrigerate for 2 hours or over night for best result.
