Sour Cream Biscuits
Wonderful with Rhubarb Conserve or jam. Quick/easy to make.
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. granulated sugar
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 cup raisins (optional)
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil

In mixing bowl, combine four, sugar, baking powder, soda & salt. Stir in raisins, if using, sour cream & oil; mix to form smooth batter.
Turn out onto lightly floured surface and knead about 10 times or until dough holds together.
Pat out 1" thick and cut into rectangles about 2 x 1 1/2". Place on greased baking sheet and bake in 425 F oven for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
Makes 16 biscuits.
