Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 3 cups flour
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 5 very ripe bananas
  • 1 pint sour cream
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 - 1 1/2 cups walnuts or pecans

Preparation

Step 1



Preheat oven to 350 degrees
grease 3 medium loaf pans with Crisco
cream butter, sugar and eggs for 8-10 mins until sugar is well dissolved
add whole bananas, sour cream and vanilla
process a few seconds until blended
add nuts, process to mix in
add flour mixture and process to combine
do not over process
stop as soon as flour mixture is blended in
pour 1/2 to 2/3 into pan (depending on size loaf you want)
bake about 50 mins for medium pans
then test with cake tester it should come out clean
cool on rack
