Flaky Rugelach

Ingredients

  • Dough:
  • 5-6 cups flour
  • 3 sticks margarine
  • 10 oz dessert topping
  • 1 Tbsp vanilla sugar
  • oil, for smearing
  • Filling #1:
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp cinnamon
  • Filling #2:
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup cocoa
  • confectioner's sugar, for dusting

Preparation

Step 1

Combine all dough ingredients in a large mixing bowl. mix until dough forms a ball. Refrigerate overnight.

Preheat oven to 350. Roll out dough (4 parts for regular size and 6-8 parts for mini) into a large circle. Smear with oil and fillinf of your choice. Slice into wedges and roll up from the outer edge.

Bake on lined cookie sheets, approximately 1/2 hour or until light brown in color.
