Ingredients

  • 1 # ground Italian sausage
  • 1 # ground pork sausage
  • 1 red onion chopped
  • 1 green pepper chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic chopped
  • 3 cans diced tomatoes
  • 1 can of Italian tomato paste
  • 1 7 oz jar marinated artichokes
  • 3 T chopped parsley
  • 1 1/2 t fresh rosemary or 1/4 t dried rosemary
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 t black pepper
  • 1/2 t salt
  • 1 t basil
  • 1 t oregano
  • 12 oz package of spaghetti or angel hair pasta

Preparation

Step 1

In large skillet cook sausage and pork, onion, peppers, celery, and garlic over medium heat until meat no longer is pink. Drain and transfer to slow cooker or crock pot. stir in the remaining ingredients except the pasta and allow to cook on low for 4-6 hours on high or 6-8 hours on low. Prepare pasta per package directions. Serve meat sauce over prepared pasta.
