No Peak Stew

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds lean heavy beef stew meat (1 heavy beef chuck rough cut)
  • 1 package lipton onion soup mix
  • 1 can cream mushroom soup
  • 2/3 can of water
  • 8 ounce can sliced mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup red wine
  • pepper to taste

Preparation

Step 1

Braise meat in skillet until brown. While braising meat, mix all other ingredients in a baking pan and add meat. Seal tightly with foil and bake at 300 degrees for 3 hours.
