Ingredients
- 1 cup oil
- 2 cups sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 jar Delmonte Stewed Prunes (pre-cooked & cut-up)
- 1 cup chopped nuts (walnuts)
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cloves
- 1 tsp allspice
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1 tsp cinnamon

Preparation
Step 1
1. In a large bowl or electric mixture, stir 1 cup oil with 2 cups sugar
2. Add 3 eggs and beat well.
3. Add 1 cup buttermilk with 1 tsp baking soda dissolved in the buttermilk
4. Add one jar of stewed prunes and stir well.
5. Add 1 cup chopped nuts and mix well.
6. Sift and add 2 cups all purpose flour to mixture and blend well.
7. Add to the mixture 1 tsp cloves, 1/2 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp nutmeg. 1 tsp allspice, and 1 tsp cinnamon. Blend well.
8. Bake in a greased angelfood or bundt pan at 325F for one hour and 15 minutes.
9. Freezes well.
