- 1/3 cup uncooked rice
- 4 cups scalded milk
- 1/4 ¼ tsp salt
- 1/4 ¼ cup sugar
- 2 Tbsp margarine

Step 1
Scald milk. Combine all ingredients in a flat baking dish & place in a slow oven (300F). bake for 1 1/2 to 2 hours or until rice is tender & pudding is thick & creamy but not dry. Stir every 15 minutes with a fork, carefully turning under browned top & scraping edges down. Serve hot or cold. Add raisins when almost done as if they are put in to soon the pudding will turn dark.
