Ingredients
- 1/2 butter, softened
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1-1/2 cups dried cherries or dried cranberries
- 1 cup semisweet or milk chocolate morsels
- 1 cup coarsely chopped cashews
- 2/3 cup white baking morsels
- 1 cup white baking morsels for drizzle, optional

Preparation
Step 1
1.Preheat oven to 350°F. Line cookie sheets with parchment paper; set aside.
2.In large bowl, beat butter, shortening, and sugars with electric mixer until creamy. Add eggs and vanilla; beat well. Gradually add combined flour, baking soda and salt; beat well. Stir in cherries, chocolate morsels, cashews and white morsels.
3.Drop dough by level 1/4 cupfuls onto prepared cookie sheets, spacing 2-1/2 inches apart. Bake 12 to 14 minutes or until golden brown. Drizzle tops of cookies with melted white morsels.
4.Let cool completely on cookie sheets. Carefully remove cookies from parchment paper.
