Ingredients

  • 2 cups Gold Medal® all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 tablespoons cold water
  • 8 large eggs
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup chopped ham
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground pepper

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat over to 375°F. Lightly grease a 13x9-inch baking dish. Set aside.
In a medium bowl, mix together the flour and salt. Pour in the oil and mix with a fork until all flour is moistened. Add cold water and mix with a fork until all water is absorbed. Press dough evenly into the greased baking dish. Bake for 10 minutes.
In a large bowl, beat eggs slightly with a whisk. Whisk in the milk then the cheese and ham. Season with salt and pepper. Pour egg mixture over baked crust and return to the oven for another 30 minutes or until puffed and lightly brown. Let set for a few minutes before cutting into bars and serving.
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
