Ingredients

  • 1 - pt. fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 1-14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 - tsp. grated lemon peel
  • 3/4 - cup plus 2TBS.cold butter or margarine
  • 2 - cups Bisquick mix, divided
  • 1/2 - cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 - cup chopped nuts
  • Vanilla ice cream
  • Blueberry sauce

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 325 degrees.Combine berries ,condensed milk & lemon peel.
In a large bowl,cut 3/4 cup butter into 1-1/2- cups Bisquick until crumbly; add berry mixture .
Spread in a greased 9 inch square pan.
In a small bowl, combine remaining 1/2- cup Bisquick & sugar, cut in remaining 2- TBS. butter until crumbly. Add nuts .Sprinkle over cobbler.
Bake 1- hour& 10- minutes or until golden.
Serve warm with ice cream & sauce.Refrigerate leftovers
Blueberry Sauce
In a sauce pan, combine 1/2 - cup sugar, 1- TBS cornstarch,1/2- tsp. cinnamon& 1/4- tsp. nutmeg.
Gradually add 1/2- cup water.Cook and stir until thickened .Stir in one pint blueberries, cook & stir until hot.
If using frozen blueberries, do NOT defrost before adding to batter.
