Ingredients
- 1 lb. boneless beef sirloin steak 3/4 inches thick
- 3 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 can (14 1/2 oz.) beef broth
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 2 cups fresh or frozen green or red pepper strips
- 4 cups cooked white or brown rice
Preparation
Step 1
1. Slice beef into very thin strips.
2. Mix cornstarch, broth, soy and garlic powder.
3. Stir-fry beef in nonstick skillet until browned and juices evaporate.
4. Add peppers and cornstarch mixture.
5. Cook, stirring until mixture boils and thickens.
6. Serve over rice. (Rice can be cooked in beef broth instead of water.)
