Crescent Cream Squares

Cool and then cut into small squares
Cuts better when it's cold.

Ingredients

  • 2 (8 ounce) packages of cream cheese
  • 1 cup plus 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cans of crescent rolls or 2 cans cresent pastry dough roll
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon plus extra for topping
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Combine the cream cheese, 1 cup sugar and vanilla in a bowl and mix well.
Arrange 1 can of crescent rolls in a greased 13 x 9 pan
Spread the cream cheese mixture on top of the rolls.
Arrange remaining can of crescent rolls over the cream cheese.
Combine the remaining 1/2 cup sugar, butter and cinnamon.
Sprinkle over the second layer of crescent rolls.
Top with the pecans and additional cinnamon.

Bake 35-40 minutes.
