  • Walnut filling:
  • 2 c flour
  • 1 T yeast dissolved in
  • 2 T warm water
  • 1/2 c margarine
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1/2 c sour cream
  • confectioners sugar
  • 1 c chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 c sugar
  • 1 t vanilla
  • 2 egg whites, stiffly beaten



Step 1

Put flour in bowl and add margarine with pastry blender. Add yeast mixture, egg yolks and sour cream. Mix well, form into ball and knead. Divide dough into 3 parts, chill in fridge for 1 hr.

Sprinkle board w/confectioners sugar and roll out 1 part of the dough as you would for pie crust. Cut into 12 wedges.

Prepare filling by mixing first 3 ingredients and folding in beaten egg whites last. Fill wide end of dough with 1 t filling. Spread filling 3/4 way down. Roll up and place on greased cookie sheet with tip tuck into bottom.

Bake 350 for 15 min or nice and brown.
