Ingredients

    sticks margarine (I use real butter, Bridget C.

    c. Crisco

  • 3

    cups sugar

  • 6

    eggs (room temperature)

  • 3

    cups Swans Down cake Flour – Measure and sift 3 times with the salt and baking powder

  • ½

    tsp. salt

  • ½

    tsp. baking powder

  • 1

    cup milk

  • 1

    tbsp. lemon flavoring

Directions

Cream margarine and Crisco. Add sugar gradually and cream for 15 minutes. Add eggs one at a time and beat after each one. Add flour, salt and baking powder with milk and flavoring beat until well mixed. Cook at 325 for about 1 hour and 15 minutes.
