Chili Cheddar Biscuits
These are great to serve with bowls of chili or hearty beef soup.

Ingredients
- 1-1/3 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 3 tsp. dried parsley flakes
- 1 tsp. chili powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 cup cold butter
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1-1/2 cups (6 ounces) shredded sharp cheddar cheese
Preparation
Step 1
In a large bowl, combine the first five ingredients. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in milk and egg just until moistened. Add cheese; mix well. Turn onto a lightly floured surface. Roll to 1/2-inch thickness; cut with a 2-1/2-inch biscuit cutter. Place 1 inch apart on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 450 degrees for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm.
