Cass-Holiday Breakfast Strata (Ham and cheese casserole)

Ingredients

  • 3 cups cooked ham or sausage, cubed or chopped
  • 3 cups French bread
  • 1/2 pound cheddar cheese
  • 6 eggs
  • 3 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 teaspoon magi seasoning(optional)
  • 2 drops Tabasco
  • 3 tablespoon flour
  • 3 tablespoon melted butter
  • 3 teaspoon dry mustard

Preparation

Step 1


Spray 13 x 9 casseroles with cooking spray. Place ham or sausage evenly in bottom of casserole. Layer cubed bread over top of meat, then layer cheddar cheese.

In mixing bowl, blend eggs, milk, garlic salt magi, and Tabasco. Pour egg mixture over top of layers in casserole.

Mix flour and mustard and sprinkle over the top. Dribble melted butter over everything.

Use spatula; push mixture down evenly so the bread soaks up the egg mixture. Cover and refrigerate overnight.

Next day, bake at 350 degree for 1 hour. Makes 10 servings
