Homemade maple syrup
This is a recipe that was given to me by a missionary in China. We have enjoyed having this recipe since we can not get syrup in Paraguay. We have all of the ingredients except for the mapelline flavoring, which we had to bring from the states. We tried to follow the recipe on the mapelline flavoring, but it just was not as good as the above recipe.

Ingredients
- 1 3/4 1 ¾ cup sugar
- 3/4 ¾ cup brown sugar (if can’t get, use 2 cups of reg)
- 1 cup water
Preparation
Step 1
Boil for 1 – 1.5 minutes.
Add ½ teaspoon vanilla and ½ teaspoon mapelline (maple extract) Stir and let cool with lid.
