Ingredients
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 small spanish onion (finely diced)
- 2 cloves garlic (finely chopped)
- pinch of red chili flakes
- 1 28oz can plum tomatoes w/juice (pureed)
- 2 tbsp fresh basil (chopped)
- salt & pepper
Preparation
Step 1
heat olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat. add onions & cook until soft, 5 minutes. add garlic & chili flakes, cook 1 minute, add tomatoes increase heat to high & cook, stirring occasionally until thickened. (20 minutes) stir in basil, season w/salt & pepper
