  • 1/4 cup warm water
  • 1 tbsp yeast
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 6 cups flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups warm water

Preparation

Step 1

Combine first three ingredients and let stand to raise.

Put dry ingredients in mixer, combine all wet ingredients. With dough hook, mix until a ball forms at low speed, then continue to knead for 5 minutes (8 if by hand).

Let raise 1 1/2 hours, then roll out to 1 1/2 inch thickness and cut into 3 inch rounds.

Cover and let raise on cookie sheet another 1 1/2 hours.

Bake at 350 until light brown, about 20 min.
