Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3 eggs, separated
- 2 tsp sugar
- 1 1/4 cup milk
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
Preparation
Step 1
1. Sift flour, baking powder and salt together in a large bowl.
2. Beat egg whites to a stiff froth (not dry), and add sugar adn beat with mixer until stands in soft peaks. Beat egg yolks and add milk and oil and pour into flour mixture and beat quickly with a wooden spoon until smooth.
3. Fold in egg whites lightly but not thoroughly. Do not beat as batter will flatten.
4. Bake in a hot waffle iron, using 1 cup batter for each waffle, until brown. Let waffle sit with iron lid open to crisp for a minute.
