The best turkey stuffing
- 2 onions
- 4 stalks of celery
- 2 lrg graded carrots
- 1/2 cup oatmeal
- 1 cup cran-rasins
- ground sage,poultry seasoning
- 1 lb ground sausage
- butter or evoo
- 1 pkg bread crumbs
- 1 loaf white fresh bread
- Chicken or Turkey stock
Cut and saute vegtables together,add some sage,poultry seasoning and salt and pepper
Cook sausage. Mix sausage and veggies together.
Add more sage and poultry seasoning if needed.
In a large bowl add veg/meat mixture together with the bread crums and cut up fresh bread.Add some broth if needed to make mixture moist.
Put in oven and cook cover at 350' for 1 hour and half
The longer you cook it the better it taste.If it needs more moisture add more stock. Cook the day before then stuff turkey or it can be put in a crock pot and put on low to simmer
