Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 to 2

    pound round steak

  • 2

    tablespoons oil

  • 1/4

    cup soy sauce

  • 1

    cup chopped onion

  • 1

    minced garlic clove

  • 1/2

    teaspoon salt

  • 1

    teaspoon sugar

  • 1/4

    teaspoon pepper

  • 1/4

    tomatoes, cut into 8ths or 1 (16 ounce) can , cut up

  • 2

    large green peppers, cut into strips

  • 1/2

    cup cold water

  • 1

    tablespoon cornstarch

  • Cooked noodles

Directions

Cut beef into strips, brown in oil. Put into slow cooker. Combine next 7 ingredients and pour over beef. Cover and cook 6 hours. Add tomatoes and green peppers. Cook on low 1 hour. Combine water and cornstarch to make paste. Stir into liquid in cooker and cook on low 1 hour. Combine water and cornstarch to make past. Stir into liquid in cooker and cook on high until thickened. Serve over noodles.
