Toblerone Chunky Bittersweet Shortbread

Yummy and rich cookies for those who also like chocolate chip. Nice alternative.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups softened butter
  • 1 cup fruit or super fine sugar
  • 3 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1 100g Toblerone Swiss Milk chocolate chopped
  • 1 cup pecans, toasted, coarsely chopped
  • Sifted icing sugar

Preparation

Step 1

Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Mix in flour and cornstarch until well blended. Stir in chocolate and pecans.

Drop by heaping tablespoons onto ungreased cookie sheets, about 1 (2.5cm) apart.

Bake at 335 degrees for 20-25 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool. Dust with icing sugar.
