Ingredients
- 2 boxes Zatarins Gumbo mix
- one can okra with water
- One can tomato chunks (diced, stewed, etc)
- 1 C. chopped celery
- 1 yellow onion, chopped
- 1-2 bunches green onions, chopped
- 8 C. water
- Creole seasoning
- 1 lb. andouille sausage, cut into chunks
- 1 lb. shrimp-peeled and deveined
Preparation
Step 1
Combine mix, okra with the juice it comes in, tomatoes, celery, onion and water (this is less water than the directions say, but you’re using the okra juice and tomato juice instead). Season to taste.
Add sausage and shrimp about 20 minutes before serving. Make sure the shrimp turns pink.
