Ingredients
- 1.5 pounds round steak
- 1 (10 ounce) can french onion soup
- 1 (14 ounce) can whole tomatoes
- 1 green pepper, cut in strips
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1/4 cup water
- hot cooked rice or mashed potatoes

Preparation
Step 1
Cut round steak into strips. In skillet, cook beef strips until no longer pink. Add soup and liquid from tomatoes; simmer 30 minutes. Add green peppers; simmer 15 minutes. Cut tomatoes into quarters and add to pot with soy sauce and pepper. In small bowl, combine cornstarch and water; stir into mixture. Heat and stir until mixture boils and thickens.
Serve over rice or mashed potatoes
